Air Europa Practical Information
› Check-In Information
Check-in Deadlines are different at every airport and Air Europa recommends that passengers inform themselves about these Check-in Deadlines and honour them. In order to permit completion of any government formalities and departure procedures sufficiently in advance of flight departure, the passenger shall arrive at carriers check-in location and boarding gate not later than the time indicated by the carrier. Air Europa reserves the right to cancel passenger reservations if passengers do not comply with Check-in Deadlines indicated. Air Europa or its Authorised Agents will inform passengers of Check-in and boarding Deadlines for the first flight. For any subsequent flights in passengers journey, passengers should inform themselves of Check-in Deadlines. Air Europa will not be liable for loss or expenses due to failure of the passenger to comply with the provisions of this article .
If passengers fail to arrive on time at check-in counters or at boarding gates or if are improperly documented and, consequently, are not able to travel, Air Europa may cancel the space reserved for and disposes of the seat, without any liability to Air Europa.
. When a Flight Coupon is not lifted at a Check-in counter, when passengers receive their boarding pass, this Flight Coupon remains under the passengers custody and will be remitted when boarding.
› Baggage Allowance
In accordance with Act 31/1995, of 8 November 1995, on Health and Safety at Work, Air Europa will only accept baggage up to a maximum weight of 32 kg (70 lb) per piece.
Air Europas passengers may not check in pieces of baggage that weigh more than 32 kg (70 lb) and will have to repack their luggage making use, if necessary, of additional suitcases.
If the resulting baggage exceeds the luggage allowance, the relevant excess baggage charge If your baggage is in excess of the permitted free baggage allowance an additional excess baggage charge will apply .
- If your ticket corresponds to the weight system the cost of the excess kilos will be calculated in accordance with the type of flight.
Specifically, for scheduled domestic, European and transatlantic flights (with the exception of the USA) the excess baggage charge will be 1.5% of the highest published Economy Class fare in effect at the time of payment of the charge for the route that is to be covered, per kg of excess, irrespective of the fare that was paid for the ticket.

If your ticket corresponds to the piece system, excess baggage can result from exceeding the number of kilos, the number of pieces or the maximum measurements permitted (158 cm or 62 in). If this is the case an additional charge must be paid.

Air Europa History
Air Europa began operations as part of the ILG-Air Europe Group in 1986, flying holiday charters from Meditarrenean resorts and European cities.
The first Spanish firm to operate national scheduled flights, the airline signed a franchise agreement with Iberia in January 1998. Following the dissolution of this agreement, ownership of the company was passed over to Globalia Corporación Empresarial S.A.
In 2007, the airline became a SkyTeam alliance member.
