Originally constructed as a military airfield, Gardermoen Airport was expanded and reoponed in 1998 as a commercial airport and is today the largest serving the Norwegian capital of Osla and Norway’s main international airport.
Located in the municipality of Ullensaker, 48 km northeast of the capital, it offers flights to a large number of European destinations and other continents, including North America and Asia.
In 2007, over 19 million passengers were served by this ariport, which is equipped with two parallel runways, 34 passenger bridges and 5 commuter stands.
Gardenmoen is also a hub for Scandinavian Airlines and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
