The largest airport in the United Kingdom outside the London region, Manchester Airport offers non-stop scheduled flights to numerous destinations across Europe, North America, the Caribbean, Middle East and Far East.
It officially opened on 25 June 1938 and was initially known as Ringway Airport.
The airport has two parallel runways, three terminals and a ground transport interchange, including a railway station.
Offering flights to over 225 destinations across the globe, Manchester Airport not only offers more destionations than any other UK airport, but also more than some of the biggest airports in the US, including New York, Chicago and Dallas.
