Located in Kloten, canton of Zurich, Switzerland, Zurich Airport is Swizerland?s largest airport and a hub to Swiss International Air Lines. In 2008, it handled 22.1 million passengers.
Zürich airport railway station (Zürich Flughafen) is located underneath the terminal. There are trains to many parts of Switzerland; frequent S-Bahn services, plus direct InterRegio and InterCity services to Winterthur, Berne, Basel and Lucerne (German: Luzern).
A major expansion project completed in 2003 added a new parking garage, midfield terminal and automated underground train that transports passengers from the existing terminal complex to the new terminal.
