| FAQs - Billing and Ticket Delivery |
| Is my credit card number safe? |
| Caribbeanjet.com uses the Secure Sockets Layer and Private Communication Technology security standards that are supported by Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or later and other popular browsers. SSL encodes your personal information (such as your password, address and phone number, or your credit card number) so that it is available only to you and the Caribbeanjet.com travel agent who will help make sure your travel planning goes smoothly. This encryption makes doing business over the Internet as secure as making a purchase by telephone. |
| Why doesn't Caribbeanjet.com accept my credit card? |
| For your protection, Caribbeanjet.com requires the billing address for ticket delivery to be the same address where the bill for your credit card is sent each month. When you enter your credit card and billing information, please make sure the address and ZIP or postal code are correct. Also, address verification isn't available for certain types of debit cards. In this case, simply enter another valid credit card and billing address. |
| Using internationally-based credit cards |
| For most travel bookings, Caribbeanjet.com accepts major credit cards issued by banks worldwide. However, due to technical, regulatory and/or other limitations, there are some countries for which we currently do not support foreign credit cards or billing addresses. |
How will my flight tickets be delivered? |
In most cases the airlines we work with offer e-tickets, so you will receive an e-mail that includes your itinerary information and confirmation numbers. You will not receive paper confirmation, receipt, or tickets. When you check in for your flight, give the ticket agent your name and flight number, or provide a printed copy of your itinerary. You must always provide a government-issued photo ID.
If the e-ticket option is unavailable for your flight, you will receive paper airline tickets via express mail delivery, or the ticket will be deposited at the airline sales counter at the airport. In case we send the ticket via express mail delivery, a shipping and handling fee will be included with all other charges on the Billing and Delivery Information page, and is applied to your credit card (or invoice) at the time of purchase. |
What if my tickets are lost or stolen? |
If your paper airline tickets are lost or stolen, please call us immediately. The Caribbeanjet Customer Support is available from Monday – Friday, between 9:00am - 6:00pm Eastern Standard Time (EST) and Saturdays between 9:00am – 2:00pm EST. at 1-800-984-2702 (USA/Canada), 08715 50 40 55 (United Kingdom) or 1 809 738 3572 (International). A Caribbeanjet.com representative will assist you in processing a lost ticket application.
In most cases, the airlines require you to purchase replacement tickets at “today’s” fare. The Caribbeanjet.com representative will facilitate the sale of these tickets. If your original tickets are not used after a designated period of time—generally 3 to 4 months, depending on the airline—you will receive a credit for the purchase price of the replacement tickets, less the application fee. This fee varies by airline, but is typically $100.00 per traveler. Please note that these policies and fees are subject to change at any time. The Caribbeanjet.com representative will be able to provide the most recent information for your airline.
Each airline has its own rules and policies for issuing replacement tickets. Caribbeanjet.com is bound by these rules and policies and must adhere to them. |
Why did the fare change at purchase time? |
| Caribbeanjet.com uses a real-time reservation database, the same used by travel agents worldwide, listing actual ticket prices and availability. As airlines fill flights or change fares, the database immediately reflects those changes. Always be sure to double-check prices when reserving or purchasing tickets, as the fare may have changed since you first searched for fares or created your itinerary. |
What are e-tickets and why should I use them? |
| An e-ticket is simply an electronic record of your airline ticket purchase that is stored in the airline's computer system. This allows you to travel without paper tickets, eliminating the worry of losing or forgetting them. When you buy e-tickets through Caribbeanjet.com, you'll receive a confirmation of your purchase via e-mail. |
On what airlines can I purchase e-tickets? |
| E-tickets are currently offered by most airlines that Caribbeanjet.com carries, but not necessarily for every flight. Certain flights--such as those that are handled by more than one airline--may require paper tickets. |
